The Toolboat

Technically a yacht is anything over a certain length which for sure is longer than 17 feet.   However, we make a special exemption for The Toolboat, due to its ability to make Yachts better!

The toolboat concept originated early on when it became apparent that a large part of the time spent working on a boat was spent on logistics - getting tools and materials delivered to the boat in a timely manner.    The Toolboat was originally an old fishing tender made of fiberglass over plywood.   It was not in the best of shape, but it was solid.    We started by building a cabin, then the hatches for security and then the sponsons for stability.
